2 PM – 3.30 PM
Welcome to celebrate the exhibition 13 Stories about Humane Design at the Alvar Aalto Museum. The new exhibition on display in the museum gallery approaches Aalto’s architecture through stories and the experiences of its users. Literature and architecture engage in a dialogue, complementing one another. The fictional stories open up the experience of architecture and space, the spirit of the times, and the social significance of architecture through the perspectives of diverse narrators.
The author of the exhibition’s stories, writer Sanna Puutonen, will be present in the exhibition. She will talk about how the texts for the exhibition were created and how Aalto’s architecture can be translated into literature. She will also read excerpts from the stories featured in the exhibition. The event will begin with a presentation on the exhibition process by Mari Murtoniemi, Curator at the Alvar Aalto Museum. The event will be held in Finnish.
The event is included in the Aalto2 Museum Centre admission fee.
