Directions

The museum is located at Alvar Aallon katu 7, 40600 Jyväskylä.
Disc-parking spaces can be found:
– right in front of the museum (including disabled parking)
– along Alvar Aallon katu
– above the museum building near Keskussairaalantie

From the parking area above the museum, you can access the main entrance of Aalto2 by using an external stairway. There is also a pay parking area at the corner of Hannikaisenkatu and Alvar Aallon katu.

You can also access Aalto2 using public transport in Jyväskylä. The bus stops closest to the museum are the stops Museo 2 in Hannikaisenkatu and Yliopisto 1 in Keskussairaalantie. From the Museo 2 stop, it is an approximately 170-metre accessible walk to the museum, if you have, say, a pram or a pushchair. From the Yliopisto 1 stop, it is a short walk using the external stairway. If you so wish, you can walk around the external stairway via Seminaarinkatu (1a) or Kramsunkatu (1b), which is an approximately 400-metre walk. Read more about accessibility here.
