An exhibition showcasing the colourful history of the Rantasipi hotel chain, Rantasipi – Stories from the World of Forest Hotels, opens on 10 May in the Aalto2 Museum Centre’s fourth-floor art hall. The exhibition launch will take place as a themed day open to everyone – all ages are welcome!

In addition to speeches, the day’s programme includes live jazz music, a vibrant samba performance by dance school Sambic, and a guided tour of the exhibition by the curator. There will also be drop-in crafts in Nappula and, alongside a variety of delicious treats, Rantasipi-themed cocktails served in Aalto2 Café.

Programme for the day:

12 PM – 1 PM Jazz duo: Sini Pajunen & Tuomas Paukku (in the connecting section)
1 PM Opening words and speeches (in the connecting section)
1.30 PM Samba performance by Dance School Sambic (in the connecting section)
2 PM – 3 PM Curator’s tour of the exhibition (4th floor)
4 PM – 4.30 PM Jazz duo: Sini Pajunen & Lasse Hirvi (in the old lecture hall)

Sipi-themed cocktails will be available all day at Aalto2 Café. In the Nappula activity space, visitors of all ages can design and build their own hotel room or imagine their dream holiday destination. There will also be Sipi the bird-themed colouring sheets to enjoy.

The event day is included in the Aalto2 Museum Centre admission fee. Children under the age of 7 enter for free.
