During this self-guided tour, you will explore the Exploring Central Finland exhibition with the help of a map, discovering how people in Central Finland have lived in the light and by various light sources throughout history, starting from prehistory. The map includes a route and picture clues. On the second floor of the exhibition, you’ll find out what kind of device you would need if a fire broke out in a small town!

The orienteering continues on the third floor, where you’ll explore the lighting of the 20th century. Can you figure out what all the light sources on this floor have in common? The correct answers and additional information about the light sources featured in the orienteering can be found on the answer sheet displayed in the Nappula activity area (2nd floor) or at the museum’s information desk (1st floor).
