Café Delights

Aalto2 Café offers a peaceful pause in the midst of a busy day, where you can take a moment to enjoy our selection of treats. Our menu includes carefully prepared coffees and speciality coffee drinks, as well as locally sourced loose-leaf teas from Teeleidi, celebrated for their rich and varied flavours. To complete your visit, our display counter is filled with fresh and delicious pastries ready to be savoured.

Are you organizing a family event?

Aalto2 offers a stunning setting for celebrations and events amidst Alvar Aalto’s iconic architecture. The museum center is the perfect venue for hosting memorable birthdays, graduation parties, memorial services, weddings, and various cocktail and private events — all effortlessly and elegantly.

Visiting with kids

In our café, you’ll find a high chair for the little ones, and we offer plenty of snacks suitable for our youngest guests. Be sure to ask about kids’ portions for lunch as well! A diaper-changing facility is available in the accessible restroom.

Responsible café

At Aalto2 Café, we prioritize environmental responsibility by carefully selecting the ingredients for our products. We prefer domestic and small business products whenever possible and strive to minimize production and plate waste. Our property also features separate waste collection to enable active recycling in our café.

Frequently asked questions

Yes! We actually recommend making a reservation, especially if your group is larger. If you wish, you can also order food for your group in advance if your schedule is very tight. Please contact us via email or phone.

Eating and drinking are not allowed in the museum areas. Snacks and water bottles can be stored in a locker during your visit.

Yes! Our selection includes local beers and, of course, Alvar Aalto’s favorite drinks!

Absolutely! The café, shop, and the Aalto2 connection area are free to visit for all guests. We only charge an entrance fee for our exhibition spaces.

We are happy to sell takeaway items, but we do not offer home delivery. If you wish to place a larger order, please contact us for more details. We need several days’ notice to ensure we have enough ingredients for your order.

Unfortunately, private events cannot be held during the café’s opening hours. However, the museum center offers a variety of spaces that are perfect for family celebrations and corporate events. If you would like to host a private event in the café, this is possible outside of opening hours. Feel free to ask us for more details!
